The Trancepts - 1190 to 1200
In the South Transept is the organ (dedicated 1911 by Archdeacon of Berkshire to replace a small one in the Chancel. Behind the organ is a good view of the scissor brace roof 1190 and small widely splayed lancet windows.
In the North Transept the roof has been replaced with a later form of roof, consisting of principal rafters and wind braces about 1450. There are two small widely splayed lancet windows in the North wall of the transept and the flat headed window in the East wall is a late 14th century replacement.
The brass effigies on the north wall are a memorial to John and Margaret Jennens, six sons and seven daughters. "Good Wife and Children agree serve the Lord and come to me".
